So today, we arrived in Greece. Passing the border, showing our passports, a symbolic way to get into the country that a lot of people are not able to leave. Just because they are the unlucky owners of unwanted nationalities.
The way to Greece made us realize how easy we can cross borders as Dutch citizens. Didi even passed Serbia and Macedonia without a passport. In her case, an ID was fine.
By the way, the sign over the border crossing read “Have a nice trip”.
With the right nationality, Greece can be a nice trip indeed.
With the wrong one, a “Have a bad trip” would be a more honest sign…
